Our club is a registered Cornell NestWatch chapter and we encourage our monitors to share their data with this university project.

NestWatch is the national program run by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology that collects data on nesting birds across the country.

By entering our observations here, Shelby County Bluebird Club monitors ensure that local bluebird activity becomes part of a larger scientific record.

On this page you’ll find our step-by-step SCBC NestWatch Guide as well as a printable NestWatch data sheet to make recording easier in the field.

Together, these resources will help you log accurate information and contribute to bird conservation on both the local and national level.

At the end of the season, please download your data and email to Meg Webster or enter on your own using the club shared sheet.
