Monitoring & Data
As a 901 Bluebirds Trail Monitor, you play a vital role in supporting our mission to help bluebirds thrive. By caring for a trail of nest boxes, you provide safe nesting sites and help ensure each box is clean, well-maintained, and protected.
Monitors check their boxes regularly during the nesting season and record data on eggs, hatchlings, and fledglings. This information is submitted to TBS and contributes to our records of how bluebirds are doing locally, as well as to statewide conservation efforts.
Trail Monitors are responsible for the upkeep of their assigned trail. If you are ever unable to continue monitoring, please notify the Monitor Team as soon as possible so a replacement can be found. If you know someone who would like to join us as a Monitor, share their contact information with the Monitor Team Lead. We are always eager to welcome new volunteers.
